Ecclestone: McLaren could sack Hamilton. Button: McLaren will help me to win title

LONDON - Bernie Ecclestone has warned Lewis Hamilton he could be turfed out by McLaren — if he does not improve on last season.
British ace Hamilton, the 2008 world champion, finished fifth last term and his contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
F1 supremo Ecclestone, 81, said: "If Lewis doesn't perform this year he'll be looking to move on.
"And the team, maybe, will also be looking to him to move on.
"I spoke to him the other day and I think he's a bit more focused. But I don't agree with the people he's got surrounding him and so-called managing him.
"He doesn't need that sort of management."
Hamilton is part of the XIX Entertainment stable and at the start of February they appointed Didier Coton — who once managed Mika Hakkinen — to guide the 27-year-old Brit.
When quizzed about who Ecclestone thought should be helping Hamilton, he said: "Someone with their feet on the ground.
"It's a people's job. They don't have to know about technical issues, someone who if you've a problem you can talk to the guy.
"His dad [Anthony Hamilton] was good, wasn't he? His dad was the right person."
Ecclestone has high hopes that the 2012 championship won't be so much of a one-horse race as last term. When Sebastian Vettel had tied up the title with four grands prix remaining.
"We always say this, but I hope the last race is going to be the one where the championship is won," he said.
"We don't want what happened last year, which was not too good.
"We perhaps need a change [of champion]. The only person that would say no to that would be Sebastian, but I think everybody else would agree with it.
"But it wasn't good. I am surprised we survived with as much TV as we got right at the end.
"I often wonder whether people watch because of the championship or watch because of the particular race.
"But now we've six world champions [competing in 2012], and I think there are probably going to be four very competitive teams, so we should have a very good year."


Jenson Button insists McLaren are on target to help him win his second Formula One title.
The Brit, 32, who won the championship in 2009 with Brawn, will get another crack in his new McLaren — which he is testing in Barcelona.
He said: "My first year at McLaren I initially thought would be very tough, moving to a new team, but it was a pretty good year really, a very good learning year.
"Last year I felt I did the best with the car I had and that I really grew with the team.
"So there are no excuses this year. I feel we have everything. The relationship I have with my engineers and mechanics is very good.
"I feel very confident and that it's all moving in the right direction."

"There's nothing to fall back on and say 'This is the reason why we didn't win in 2012'.
"So I'm very happy now with my position within the team, and to win the world championship with McLaren would be amazing.
"To win anything would be amazing, but with a team you've been with for two years, have such a good relationship with and feel a big part of after such a short period, it would mean more than just arriving and driving the best car."
Button also feels he has the right support team outside of the car.
"My manager, physio, PA, PR man, you put them in place, but you don't purposefully have them around you to make you feel better.
"It just happens because you feel it's right. It's not something you actually go out to achieve.
"But I've been through quite a few managers in the past, and it has taken me a little while to find my feet, and the right people to surround myself with.
"For me, now, I have the best manager in F1, the best PR man, best PA and physio, so I'm lucky in one way, but I also experienced the bad as well as the good.
"So for me over the winter I've not refined anything in any way. I've not needed to."

Formula 1 2012 noses

The "noses" a bit similar to McLaren's, are weak teams, so no problems from them. But probably the noses won't be so important to have a fast car.

how I entered the Formula 1 world

MILAN - This is a special year for England, also because of the Olympic Games 2012 in London (but not only in London), let's see if our McLaren boys-Oasis fans win the championship.
Ex Chelsea's - into Pretty Green (as Lewis Hamilton) Joe Cole was her ex boyfriend (before losing himself in provincial france), the one who should've joined "Milan fashion giants"... This is Oasis biggest fan... in every sense :). Keeley Hazell. I'm always honest: it's not me the biggest one :). She's obsessed with Oasis and Britpop. I remember there were even Facebook groups to establish who was the biggest one, they didn't even know. She was also a "pitbabe" as my sister, for Jenson Button (when was @ BAR Honda, British American Racing).

She's a very intelligent girl ;) (this one: no wishlist on Amazon, lol). That's how I entered the Formula One world (but I was a fan since the early 80's), her "lover" was the Australian cook of the Jordan team... fail!
That's why Noel "used to" hate Australians, lol.

friends of that girl, the ones of "life in Milan is selective, VERY selective". This is about: in Italy the military service used to be compulsory, and we had a series of tests, with also an absurd questionnaire made of thousands of questions, also asking: do you like flowers? ...far from that, there was also: would you like to be a florist? ... if there was a contradiction, = you're mad / gay, that is: you can't be a soldier (lol)
It also says: I like mad people :), "penso che praticamente sia bella la gente insana di mente".
Of course I was a soldier, despite being mad, lol. But because I wanted. Because it was a nice experience, and being a volunteer they also paid money. Of course almost everybody didn't want, and they pretended they were sick/mad/gay LOL. If you answered with contradictions, you had to visit the psychologist, everybody wanted because "he" was a sexy woman, lol.
Now you see why life in Milan is very selective ahaha

Jenson is better than Lewis because he's an old style driver. Lewis learned to drive with videogames. Fact. Even Ron Dennis said that. He's started with kart but was learning with computers too.
He's lucky he wasn't sacked, just because he was born in this team.
Today I talked to some other usual ridiculous Lewis fans, who think that he was poor, so according to them, black = poor. And even blamed me to racist... unbelievable.
And of course they said Moss is wrong, so maybe they know more about driving than Sir Stirling Moss.
So they started to be racist, also saying people from Italy have a small cock! oh those people...even the women? lol. In the real world, it's the opposite. They probably had their girlfriend fucked by a Latin lover.
The team always comes first. The drivers pass, the team remains. Blaming the team, as Lewis did, wasn't a brilliant idea... One as Lewis saying he's going to win all the races, is desperate. He wasn't even able to overtake one as Massa many times. Moss was already proven right, not only last year. Lewis won a title driving a McLaren, Jenson a Brawn.

At the age of 81, the English icon Sir Stirling Moss announced his retirement from competitive motor racing thus drawing a line under an illustrious career which has spanned 8 decades and seen him win 212 races. He was also the first Brit to win a Grand Prix on home soil.
Moss remains one of the country’s most loved and popular sporting personalities. Given his determination to thrive at everything he put his mind to, perhaps it is not surprising. “I believe that if I wanted to run a mile in four minutes I could do it,” Sir Stirling famously once remarked. “I would have to give up everything else in my life, but I could run a mile in four minutes. I believe that if a man wanted to walk on water and was prepared to give up everything else in life, he could do that.”
The 16-time F1 grand prix winner (out of 66 races, before a near-fatal accident in 1962 saw him give up life as a Formula One driver), now 82 and speaking at the Motorsports Hall of Fame awards ceremony predicted that Button would once again profit from Hamilton’s perceived lack of concentration, having become the first of Hamilton's McLaren team-mates to earn more points in a season than him last year.
“Lewis does funny things, so one can’t be sure,” he said. “But I would put my money on Jenson. Yes I would. Lewis is terrific, he really is exceptionally quick, but Jenson thinks about certain things better than Lewis will.
"Like when it’s raining and whether or not to go in for a change of tyres.”
Hamilton, 27, out-qualified Button 13 times to six in 2011, but Moss said raw speed was not the issue, rather Hamilton’s propensity to let outside distractions affect his performance.
“He goes off and sort of screws it up sometimes doesn’t he? That’s the problem. Jenson is much more dedicated. I don’t mean in any way other than it means more to him what he’s actually doing, the actual driving and so on.
“The one thing you need in racing is concentration. So I worked hard on keeping my concentration for three hours because they were three hours races then.
"That’s a hell of a long time, particularly when there are pretty girls you can wave at and blow kisses to.”
Meanwhile, Vitaly Petrov has replaced Jarno Trulli at Caterham with immediate effect.

You know I "talk straight" :) as them and I say everything.
I've seen there are some bitches (lol), also famous bitches, who put their "wish list" of gifts they would like to receive (also on websites as Amazon, etc.). Thinking bad of people is a sin, but most of the times you're right... so I can imagine that "in exchange" of those gifts, they give themselves...

I absolutely must create my wish list.

MONZA - Preparing the circuit... as every year, here's the winter version photo. Different year, different speeding circuit. Apparently. Beautiful sun in Milan, but Monza circuit now looks a bit different from the one where a few months ago we burnt ourselves in the sun...
This year will be special (again) 'cause it's Monza race 90th year (1922->2012).
Button will be the first one testing the new McLaren, he should also have the number 3 (ring F1 circus :), not 4 (Hamilton), 'cause he was second in the championship, and he said we need a clear number one to win.

Photo above: this is (Parabolica) where last year Mark Webber went off track, lol. We were laughing, he didn't even realise that he had his car VERY damaged for a whole lap (incident with Massa), that's why then he lost control. Amazing also how nobody told him. It was even shocking when we saw the broken car passing and he went off... there was me climbing on the net, shouting and indicating him to the people (also, nice metaphor eh). I should have told him too.

Today's Jenson's birthday. He will be the first driver to sample the new McLaren MP4-27 at next month's Jerez test. McLaren has confirmed that Jenson will take the wheel on February 7 for the first run of the car at the Spanish track.

Monza tickets and advices

MILAN - To get tickets for Monza GP, click here. Usually, people prefer to already own a ticket, of course, but there are also some ways to have a ticket paying before and getting it the day you arrive there. Formula 1 is a very expensive sport, but it's worth.
If you're coming from far, of course you want to stay the whole weekend, but for the people who live closer, even if they are big fans, 3-4 days of Formula One could be very tiring (because of the sun, walking, traffic, people, etc.), so for them it's better just 1 or 2.

For some things you should spend more, for other things you should spend less. Here are my advices from our experiences.

TRAVELLING TO ITALY

if you're coming from abroad, foreign countries, you probably have to take a plane, that is not expensive, especially if you book some time before, at least one month. There are 3 main airports around Milan: Malpensa (very far but there's a nice train arriving to Milan's Cadorna station), Linate (closer, the bus number 73 takes you to the centre) and Orio al Serio (quite far, you'll have to take a train).

So when you're here you probably don't have a car (unless you rent one), but it's better to go around without a car, as traffic is a problem and it also would be difficult for you without knowing the places. And, you would have to spend a lot of money for fuel and car parkings for whole days. It's also more adventurous to go around and meet people.

STAYING

cheap hotels, hostels, campings, are not very popular in Milan, you could find them but they could be far and not very nice (you know, Milan is quite an expensive city), I remember also some English girls told me about them. Well, if you like camping, I remember a Hungarian girl choosing that option, there's one "inside" the circuit (it is so inside that last year we laughed because when we were going to the circuit I went inside the camping and a girl working there tried to stop me, and I said: no autographs, please, lol. I was sure it wasn't a camping so I could go inside :).

But I think it's better if you spend just a little bit more for this and stay in a normal hotel, so you can also easily visit Milano. Usually, people say to avoid hotels around Stazione Centrale (the main station), 'cause it's a bit dangerous.
I know some people prefer to stay in a hotel outside the city, I think it's a bad choice, you could get lost. Not even the people living here know so well all the places.
The Ferrari crew stay in one of the most central hotels, just right behind the Duomo cathedral (there's also their shop near there) and of course it's very expensive. But drivers usually sleep inside the circuit in their rooms. Jenson Button and Jessica Michibata usually stay @ a luxury hotel by Como lake (not very far from the circuit), same hotel where former Oasis Liam Gallagher-speeding Beady Eye often come. I know some people stay @ same hotels of celebrities to be sure to meet them, but it's a risk, you could spend a lot of money in vain. And I tell you, there's nothing to go crazy for famous people.

If you're an attractive girl, there's no problem for anything, and you can stay by us, lol.

My sister sometimes has a job on the circuit on the grid as "umbrella girl", now she's more a chief for the girls working.

MILAN -> MONZA
(distance: about 15 kms, =10 miles, but the total is about 20 kilometres to the circuit)

when you're in Milan and you have to go to the circuit, the best way is: 

a taxi, but it could cost too much, and you wouldn't meet other fans="tifosi", as Schumacher says.

If you don't want to take a taxi, first take a train (about 2 €uros or so, usually towards direction Chiasso) from Garibaldi station (green line metro stop), not from Stazione Centrale station, because there are less trains to go to Monza.

In a few minutes you arrive in Monza, the city (but it doesn't mean that you're already at the circuit, not yet).

Here, outside Monza station, you can walk a tunnel to go out on the right side of the station, there's a free bus (called "linea nera", black line), from 7:30 am, from Friday to Sunday of the Formula 1 weekend (there isn't on Thursday, if you have to go there to meet the drivers for the "walk about"). But my advice is to avoid this bus, because although it's good that you don't have to pay and you will be with a lot of fans, the traffic is the same and then you realise why it's free: sometimes a long time to wait and it leaves you inside the big park of Monza and you'll have to walk a VERY long road to arrive at the circuit, it will take a lot of time. The same when you have to go away (and you'll also ask yourself: where the fuck is the bus station? :)

So (flashback :), when you are at Monza station, it's better to take bus tickets (a few €uros) at the tobacconist's and go outside on the left side, there's a small garden, a few stairs and a road above ("corso Milano" street). I can see it could be a little complicated at this point, we can go together :), but many people ask me so I have to choose which ones :). When you get this bus (number 221), there could be the same traffic (really annoying, especially when you come back), but it will leave you to a comfortable place, Biassono, near one of the circuit entrances (you will see a landmark with the circuit shape in a little square, there's also a small wall to photograph, with photos and autographs of past and present drivers).
When you have to come back, step off the bus when you see a McDonald's in "corso Milano" street, that is near Monza station.

On Sunday ONLY, there's also a free train from Milan, Stazione Centrale, that even arrives to the circuit (so, no buses at all), but then you realise why it's free: again, the little problem is that it leaves you at Lesmo entrance so you will have to walk a lot, depending on where you're staying in the circuit. Anyway, this train could be good to go there, but my advice is that you avoid it when you have to come back on Sunday afternoon, because you'll find yourself blocked among literally thousands of people trying to use these free trains and you'll have to spend a lot of time in a huge crowd under the sun, you could go mad, also because tired for the long weekend.

FOOD

prices are a bit high inside the circuit, you know, because they also have to pay Ecclestone :) and the quality is a bit "standard", let's say, classic hot dogs, "salamella" sausage and similar stuff. Also, you'll have to deal with long queues of big-belly hungry Germans, lol.

If you want to eat better things and spend less, here's my trick, when you're on the "final" bus just before arriving at that little square of the autographs wall, step off the bus (Vedano stop, you can also ask the driver) and go to this little town called Vedano al Lambro (the Milano river giving the name to Lambretta), there's a nice "rosticceria" to buy food, and then you're still close to a circuit entrance.
To always have very cold water the whole day, you should put a bottle in the freezer the night before, so it's frozen and it melts slowly during the day.

Remember also to bring a suntan lotion cream, 'cause even if it's September, usually it's still really hot and last year we got tanned more in 4 days than in 2 months of holidays.
Also, avoid those foreign people playing with boxes or cards inside the circuit: they try to get money from you but they're actors (whole families) and when the police comes, they run away.

speeding highs and lows 2011

HIGHS (crazy year)

1) BUTTON IN CANADA
On Lap 37 of the wet-dry 4 HOURS Canadian Grand Prix, Jenson Button was LAST of the lot after clashing with Hamilton and Alonso, and pitting three times over punctures and a speeding penalty.
Just 33 laps later, he won the race after a mesmerising drive through the entire field, boosted by a series of cleverly-timed pit stops.
The icing on the cake came at turn six on the very last lap when leader Sebastian Vettel, spooked by the ever-closing Button, slid wide and let the Brit through to win what he described as "definitely my best race ever". Definitely the best race seen in years.
Other highs were Jenson winning in Hungary or when ill in Singapore but racing great thanx to Italian pasta ;)

2) "CHRIS HORNER FUCK YOU", LOL

That weekend was a high, Button from 7th in the first laps, finished 2nd. And in those days the first McLaren shop in Italy opened here.

3) BUTTON @ RED BULL PIT BOX :) & THE MARSHALL FALLING
Some of the comic moments of the year — along with the Canadian marshall who fell over twice in front of the F1 pack — came in China as Jenson dived in to Red Bull's pit box by mistake for a tyre change.

Tragedy as we lost British IndyCar star Dan Wheldon in a crash, a week before MotoGP ace Marco Simoncelli died in Malaysia, that shocked us to the bone.

2) KUBICA
F1 drivers like to have a bit of fun over the winter — and Renault's Polish star Robert Kubica thought he would try rallying. Alas, he crashed his Skoda into a barrier on the Ronde di Andora event in Italy, emerging with life-threatening injuries including a smashed right arm that may yet end his career. The accident was also a blow to Renault's F1 challenge, from which the team never really recovered — although their radical exhaust system didn't help.

3) HAMILTON FLOP
Confusion inside the head of (they say he was) the world's fastest F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton.
The most bizarre incident of a bizarre season for Hamilton came at Monaco. He was given two penalties after colliding with Felipe Massa and Pastor Maldonado. Afterwards he branded both "stupid". Asked why the stewards had singled him out, he replied: "Maybe it's because I'm black."
And he described his frequent visits to race officials as "an absolute fricking joke". Hamilton's inner demons stayed with him through most of the season, resulting in a series of untypically crass incidents (often while fighting against Ferrari's Massa, he could never overtake him easily, as if Massa was Senna) such as his crazy tangle with Kamui Kobayashi at Spa.
Massa even got a nonsense penalty. I couldn't stand Massa, but then I even began to like him, thanks to Hamilton.
Roll on 2012, eh Lewis?

WOKING - Exclusive preview!! Lol joking, you can't see anything. The different gear still speeding will still be n.3 (ring F1circus) and n.4 (letter word). Jenson was 2nd at the end of the championship, I think he should have the n.3...
McLaren will have our new car ready for the first test of 2012, after the team confirmed today it will be launched in a few weeks, on 1 February. 

McLaren's announcement that the MP4-27 will be ready for the opening test at Jerez, which takes place from February 7-10, means the team follows Ferrari and Red Bull Racing in opting to get running as early as possible.

NEW DELHI - The FIA announced the official dates (20 GP, record) and decided to confirm the United States and Bahrain races. Just a few days ago it was sure the American Grand Prix to be erased, but it seems the owners of the circuit in Texas can pay the taxes. Bahrain still has a difficult situation in the country, but it seems there are no problems for the Formula One.

stop using Senna helmets

INTERLAGOS - Shame on you! Just accept it: you'll never have even a nail of Senna.
Hamilton? Don't make me laugh, you've seen Senna on old videos only.
He's 4th today on the grid: Senna helmet still not working eh...
Also Barrichello wearing that helmet that only Senna could wear, in my opinion.
Then, what is this thing of everybody celebrating Vettel 15 pole positions in a season? What kind of record is that? Of course he could do that, he's got a perfect car... I would like to see him driving another one. And, the races are about 19 this year, in F1 history they were 6 in the Fifties, 10 in the Sixties, 16 from the Eighties, of course they had no chance to have 15 pole positions.

The race started and, as usual, both Hamilton and Barrichello lost positions... Senna helmet still not working.
Hamilton is still not able to overtake Massa (who is not exactly Senna...), Senna helmet still not working. Then he retired. Senna helmet still not working.

Il "telecronista" (è un complimento) Mazzoni ogni volta confonde Hamilton con Button, e c'è una bella differenza... Nei primi giri delle gare crede sempre che Button sia Hamilton, e deve sempre aspettare la grafica sulla tv per saperlo. Non era neanche difficile, visto che Hamilton perde sempre posizioni.
Poi continuava a confondere i nomi di Massa e Alonso (anche lì, bella differenza), e il capolavoro: "oggi sono bloccato su questo"...magari fosse solo oggi e solo questo, sei la disgrazia in persona.

Button's Japanese helmet @ Eicma

MILAN - The helmet Jenson used in Japan at the Suzuka GP, the white one with red sun, as tribute to Japan, is at the Eicma, the biggest motorcycle show in the world. It takes days to see really everything, it's huge. We had some funny moment, the girls are working until Sunday. Some of them were the same of last year.
After some hours I noticed there were even the motorbikes, LOL. The photos don't give (never) the idea of how beautiful the girls are, you must go there. You realise that only when you're close to see the little blonde hairs on the body of the girls, omg :). My favourite part was of course the legendary mod Lambretta.
Meanwhile, Hamilton won a race (how rare... too late) in Abu Dhabi and said it was one of his best ones... best ones thanks to Vettel retiring? I even fell asleep.
Before this GP he even called "rubbish" what his own chief, the great Whitmarsh, said. He blamed the team more than one time when it was clearly his fault. If he didn't grow up inside McLaren, he would have already been sacked.

Am I going there? Nah.. too expensive.. I'd rather save money for the Hungary GP, where Button and McLaren often win (of course I'm not going there because of the beautiful girls :). NEW DELHI - Another great race for Jenson Button, from the 4th position, immediately 2nd. 

Try to recognise who is Mister Bean here... (the actor is Rowan Atkinson). There's someone behaving as Mister Bean this year... a total disaster. You know I dislike Ferrari and have a bad opinion about Massa, not a good driver. But I see that Hamilton makes mistakes every time when he's trying to overtake him (is it so difficult? It shouldn't be...). To be honest, the penalty given to Massa, instead of Hamilton, is just ridiculous.
Formula 1 paid tribute to Marco Simoncelli and Dan Wheldon, at the end Jenson said Marco was an amazing motorcycle rider.

Telecronaca come sempre allucinante... Mazzoni ci ha messo un sacco di tempo a capire che quel gran pilota scattato dalla 4a posizione e subito 2o, non era Hamilton come continuava a ripetere, ma Button. Solo grazie alla grafica che è venuta fuori sulla tv...

Mi ha sempre "affascinato" anche la grafica della regia italiana che quando iniziano le qualifiche scrive "prima eliminatoria" (cos'è? un concorso di bellezza? lo sci? perchè parlano di "manche"...) come fosse un linguaggio d'altri tempi e una grafica primitiva, così come il telecronista fuori tempo. Se proprio vogliono usare metodi tradizionali di tempi remoti, suggerisco di utilizzare signorine (magari in topless) che passano davanti alzandoci un cartello (e non solo quello), come nel pugilato.
Forse usano quelle scritte perchè pensano che il pubblico è rincoglionito come loro... peccato che non vengono qui a leggere.
Alla fine Hamilton, che ormai mi sta sulle balle (si era capito?), ha risposto col contagocce a quell'incompetente di Stella Bruno, che gli ha chiesto dell'incidente: niente, parlo della gara. Bene, com'è stata la tua gara? Boring. Fine dell'intervista.
Tutto questo per dire che questa F1 in tv è tutta da rifare.

Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton says he's been through a "tough time" since splitting from singer Nicole Scherzinger.
The Sun exclusively revealed the pair had called it a day last week after four years together.
Lewis, 26, said: "These times are sent to try you. And it's about how you pull through them."
He is still in touch with the beauty, 33, saying: "We're friends and we can move forward. I have my family who are helping. So I feel pretty good."
Nicole wouldn't discuss her ex as she filmed Alan Carr's Chatty Man Channel 4 show.
An audience member said: "It was embarrassing. Lewis was what we wanted to know about."

MILAN - I know this is not about cars, but I post something here too, because of Simoncelli, and because this is not really about motorbikes, but about girls :). I don't really care about motorbikes...

(8-9 November for journalists), 10 to 13 November, the 69th (nice number :) EICMA motorbikes exhibition (or : women exhibition :)), as in the past years.
Already an event for November, so the girls can prepare to work there. And people can plan travels (I know English people who even came to Milan just for single car events).
Of course there are all kinds of motorbikes, but we mods (we are mods we are mods we are we are we are mods) are especially interested in Milano Lambretta (name from the river Lambro) and Vespa, that is also in Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green shops.
It's in the same place where Oasis had to perform their last concert ever (fiera Milano-Rho, Expo 2015), Oasis gig now possibly in 2015 as it had to be.
Girls enter for free on Friday 11. My sister is one of the girls working there so I enter for free, so I'm a girl too, lol.
This year it will be dedicated to Marco Simoncelli.

(Oasis music Live forever, piano version) - the funeral is on Thursday 27, 2:30pm on Italian tv Italia1 channel from Milan (also satellite). He was also an AC Milan fan. The people are still shocked.
His nickname was "(Super)Sic", yes he was also a bit "sick" 'cause he was mad :)
In the accident he fell and was hit on the only delicate part of a motorcycle racer - the neck - by Colin Edwards who couldn't do anything to avoid him and got injured too. Marco lost the helmet, that's really strange. We thought, just to smile a bit, that is was because of his hair.
The event "Eicma international exhibition" in Milan will be dedicated to him, see here (job for girls).

Almost 10 years ago George Harrison died, big fan of India and McLaren. You remember my post some months ago.
The other day on Oasisblues I was posting a long video with Oasis songs without Noel Gallagher, "The quiet ones" by Gem was clearly a tribute to George, for the sound and the fact that he was the "quiet one" of the Beatles.

F1 memories: Monaco 1993

MONTECARLO - Adriane Galisteu was Senna's new girlfriend at those times. We were there that year (and also came back another time in that period), I found these old pics, and we have more. And also drove on that legendary circuit anticlockwise, lol.
On Thursday (you know, no Formula 1 on Friday in Monaco, the prince must sleep :), it was raining and (quite strange) Senna had a bad accident, so for the qualifying & race his hand was bandaged. And the super Williams by Prost was one second faster : you know, those were the times of so much electronics on the cars, so the driver was less important. The situation for Senna was very difficult, but this was Montecarlo... everything could happen.

Nobody could expect this, Prost the bastard made a false start, so he got a penalty (10 seconds of stop&go). As already happened some weeks before, in the legendary (Europe) GP in Donington, England (with Senna overtaking some cars under the rain in the first lap, becoming first), Prost made the car turn off and was 22th. So, Schumacher was first, but then retired for a mechanical problem.
Prost was one lap late, when Ayrton was about to lap him, the french didn't let him pass... Ayrton protested with his hand against him, then overtook him. Of course Ayrton won (and so he was incredibly first in the drivers standings), 6th win for him in Monaco (it's still the record).
